Full Game Walkthrough — Moldwasher

This full game walkthrough guide covers Moldwasher from the opening home room through post-story cleanup. It serves as a high-level route map connecting to detailed mission pages in our Walkthrough section. Follow this order to minimize backtracking and avoid tool-related dead ends.

Recommended Route Overview

The optimal Moldwasher route follows tool unlocks rather than strict map order. Complete the opening home and early fridge jobs with the pressure washer. Farm the garage for FreshCash when the next tool feels expensive. Unlock the leaf blower before rice and rubbish bag missions. Clear the dog bowl route to trigger pickaxe availability. Purchase the flamethrower before mushroom, cockroach, and burn-object missions.

Late game requires cycling all four tools within single missions—most notably the dinner fight where you reveal with water, burn with fire, break with pickaxe, blow loose parts with the leaf blower, then wash final residue. Our dedicated Dinner Fight walkthrough breaks this cycle into numbered steps.

Phase 1: Opening and Early Fridge (Missions 1–5)

Clean the door, enter home, clear shelf objects, open the map. First fridge missions teach wide versus precise spray. Clean optional mold for bonus cash but do not grind excessively—tool unlocks matter more than perfect scores early on.

The sticker fridge mission is your first precise-stream test. Remove sticker layers before floor mold. The fly mission introduces moving hazards—control the fly and its eggs before chasing floor percentage. See Fridge Missions for detailed strategies per mission type.

Phase 2: Garage Loop and Tool Unlocks

The garage opens as a recurring money source. Clean boxes, open toy batches, and return when new batches appear. Each batch pays roughly 200 FreshCash plus coins and occasional toys for achievement progress. If a shop tool feels out of reach, run two garage cycles instead of forcing a difficult main mission.

Purchase the leaf blower when microwave rice or shelf debris missions appear on the map. The flamethrower follows once burn-required icons show on mission select. The pickaxe typically unlocks after the dog bowl route—check the shop immediately after that mission.

Phase 3: Mid-Game Challenges

Mid-game introduces the clogged sink route, hard-object breaking, flower watering objectives, and cockroach infestations. The sink mission will not progress until the clog step completes—water alone shows 0% until then. See Sink Clogged Route.

Air duct missions combine wind physics with object placement. Position rice balls and loose pieces so airflow pushes them toward targets rather than fighting the wind direction. The Air Duct walkthrough covers positioning strategies.

Phase 4: Late Game and Post-Story

Late missions include freezer deep routes, the dinner fight, and Sushi Set completion checks. After the main story ends, shift focus to collectibles and achievements. Hidden drops, stickers, toys, cassettes, and gachapon decorations all contribute to 100% completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I follow the map order or this guide order?

Follow tool requirements first. If a mission icon shows a tool you lack, farm garage money or complete prerequisite missions rather than attempting it underpowered.

Can I skip optional mold cleaning?

Yes for story progress, but optional mold pays bonus FreshCash and some achievements require full optional cleans in a level.

When should I start collectible hunting?

Check hidden drop counters from the first mission onward. Late-game backtracking for one missed sticker is frustrating—replay immediately when you see 0/1 on the results screen.

What is the hardest mission?

Most players cite the dinner fight and air duct wind routes as the toughest due to multi-tool cycling and physics positioning requirements.
