Dinner Fight Walkthrough — Moldwasher

This Moldwasher walkthrough page covers "This dinner does not want to be cooked"—the late-game multi-tool boss mission. This mission stops players who try to force one tool. Success requires cycling all four tools in sequence. Use the steps below alongside our Tools section when a mission requires equipment you have not yet unlocked.

Mission Overview

The dinner fight presents a living meal obstacle with tentacles, arms, and burnable parts. No single tool works for the entire mission. Objectives change mid-mission as parts expose, break, burn, and require repositioning. This is the ultimate test of everything Moldwasher taught about tool switching.

Tool Cycle Sequence

  1. Pressure washer — Reveal active parts and strip outer mold layers
  2. Flamethrower — Burn components that react to fire when water stops helping
  3. Pickaxe — Hit arms, chunks, and exposed pieces requiring impact
  4. Leaf blower — Move eyes, loose parts, and detached pieces to target zones
  5. Pressure washer — Clean final residue and remaining mold

When tentacles or arms stop responding to one tool, switch immediately—do not keep spraying. The mission telegraphs which phase is active through visual state changes on the dinner object.

Common Failures

Using water through burn phases wastes time. Using fire after burn targets are destroyed misses pickaxe requirements. Forgetting the blower leaves movable parts out of position for final cleaning.

Ensure all four tools are fully purchased before attempting—not just unlocked. Under upgraded tools extend each phase unnecessarily. Review individual tool pages: Pressure Washer, Flamethrower, Pickaxe, Leaf Blower.

Frequently Asked Questions

What order do I use tools?

Washer to reveal, flamethrower to burn, pickaxe to break, blower to move, washer to finish. Switch when current tool stops producing progress.

Can I skip a tool phase?

No. Each phase clears specific object states required for the next tool to work.

Is this the final mission?

It is a late-game highlight but not necessarily the final mission. Post-story cleanup continues afterward.
